Romania sells 193.6 mln euro of 2027 T-bonds, above target

BUCHAREST (Romania), March 25 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Monday 962.4 million lei ($209.4 million/193.6 million euro) worth of fixed-rate government securities maturing on May 31, 2027, above target, central bank data showed.

The average accepted yield inched down to 6.2%, from 6.21% achieved at the previous auction of Treasury bonds of the same issue held in February. Demand for the bonds, which have an annual coupon of 7.2%, rose to 1.074 billion lei from 528.2 million lei at the previous auction.

The issue will be reopened on Wednesday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 75 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
